Product overview
The UT16MX117 is a 16-to-1 analog multiplexer with a SPI/QSPI/MICROWIRE serial interface. Break-before-make switching and rail-to-rail signal handling support channel selection across the analog supply range. An asynchronous reset provides direct control of the multiplexer state. An external digital supply powers the digital circuitry. The I/O supply pin selects the digital interface voltage. The device supports analog signal routing through a low-resistance path while maintaining a separate control interface. The datasheet details supply connections, interface timing and channel switching so the selected control method can be integrated into the surrounding acquisition circuitry.

Product features
- Break-before-make switching
- Rail-to-rail input signal handling
- Asynchronous reset
- SPI/QSPI/MICROWIRE serial control
Match the control interface
The UT16MX117 uses SPI/QSPI/MICROWIRE serial control. An external digital supply powers the digital circuitry. The I/O supply pin selects the digital interface voltage. See the datasheet timing diagrams and supply connections before implementing the interface.
Initialize the interface
Apply the digital supply before or simultaneously with the analog supply as required by the datasheet.
Applications
- Temperature-sensor input multiplexing
- Input overvoltage/undervoltage protection circuits
