Power Management ICs (PMICs)
Overview
Telecommunications and defense industries demand ever-increasing functionality in equipment such as satellites, probes and spacecrafts. Frontgrade offers a family of radiation hardened Power Management Integrated Circuits (PMICs) designed for high reliability applications.
Frontgrade's PMICs family portfolio encompasses radiation hardened by design Linear Adjustable Voltage Regulators and Pulse Width Modulator controllers, and highly integrated Smart Power Switch Controllers that provide extensive fault detection, isolation and recovery capabilities in a single package. Frontgrade PMICs are the space industry’s first highly integrated power switch controllers providing extensive fault detection, isolation and recovery capabilities in a single package.
Frontgrade PMICs are intelligent PowerMOSFET controllers with load-side inrush current limiting and eFUSE protection of current faults. Adding PMBus™ protocol over I2C communication; these devices provide system level integration with reduced size, weight, power and cost.
