Powered by the NXP Layerscape® LX2160 processor, it integrates sixteen Arm® Cortex®-A72 cores operating up to 2.2 GHz, ECC-protected DDR4 memory, onboard e.MMC storage, and high-speed Ethernet and PCIe backplane connectivity. Designed for modular spacecraft architectures, it supports mission management, payload processing, secure command and telemetry, network gateway functions, distributed compute, edge analytics, and software-defined avionics. Hardware-rooted security features including a Security Engine, secure boot, and Arm TrustZone™ help protect mission software and isolate trusted execution environments. With SpaceVPX utility-plane support, low typical power consumption, and space-ready environmental performance, the SBC16A72-SVPX enables scalable onboard autonomy in a compact, standards-aligned form factor.
