Product overview
The BEU8638-12 balances and monitors lithium-ion cells in one or two independent series-connected batteries with up to 12 cells per stack. Bilateral DC-DC converters connect the cells to a common share bus, redistributing charge so each cell approaches the average of the others. Cell-voltage and total-battery-voltage monitoring support telemetry and status reporting. Discrete outputs indicate critical voltage conditions so the surrounding system can stop charging or shed loads. MIL-STD-1553B telemetry supports data logging and monitoring. The unit also provides cell-bypass relay drivers.
