Product overview
The RHD5950 combines a 16-channel input multiplexer with a 14-bit successive-approximation analog-to-digital converter. Address inputs select the sensor signal, while start-convert, busy and end-of-conversion signals coordinate acquisition with the host processor. Tri-state digital outputs allow multiple converters to share a data bus, and the output-driver supply supports logic-level interfacing. Single and continuous conversion modes support different acquisition strategies. A sleep mode reduces activity when conversion is not required. External reference inputs define the measurement span, helping designers align the converter with the sensor signal range.

More about this product
Product features
- Integrated input multiplexer and successive-approximation conversion
- Single or continuous conversion modes
- Tri-state data outputs
- Sleep control and conversion-status outputs
Coordinate sensor acquisition
Use the start-convert, busy and end-of-conversion signals to coordinate sampling. When waking from sleep, allow one full conversion cycle before relying on output data.
Applications
- Sensor-voltage acquisition
- Military and space electronics
