Product overview

The RHD5930 is an 11-bit digital-to-analog converter built around a CMOS R/2R Kelvin resistor network. Digital inputs control switches that connect the reference signals to the resistor ladder, producing an unbuffered analog output. The reference inputs can accept static or dynamic signals within the supply range, enabling multiplying-DAC operation. The device can also operate in an inverted configuration for current-output applications into a low-impedance node. Supported uses include digital potentiometers and programmable voltage sources. Designers can select the ordering flow that matches their screening and radiation-assurance requirements.

More about this product

Product features

  • Unbuffered ladder output
  • Four-quadrant multiplying operation
  • CMOS/TTL-compatible digital inputs
  • Static or dynamic reference inputs within the supply range

Choose the reference and output stage

Use the reference inputs to set the DAC span. The ladder output is unbuffered, so the external load or amplifier must be considered when establishing accuracy and output swing.

Applications

  • Digital potentiometers
  • Programmable voltage sources
